found red thick cable beside battery cable

Hi:
q for a svx 94

I was replacing the battery, and when I conected the positive terminal with the positive cables(there's two cables), i found i thick red cable disconected that goes inside like a black box. Where does this cable go?

Also i had to change the baterry because all the acid came out... I use this car once every two months, the battery is like 3 years old, is this normal... or is it because of lack of use...i mean what provoked this?

Can you post a link to a picture of the wire?

The acid came out of the battery? Is it all over the car, or did it evaporate? I haven't seen a battery go dry before. The battery in my SVX is 4+ years old, OEM Subaru, and the battery in my Taurus was over 7 years old when I replaced it. Never had an issue with fluid levels.

What kind of battery is it? (manufacturer?)

I can't help you with the wiring, but someone will jump on shortly.

There should be a cable off of the positive terminal that goes into the fuse box under the hood.

I don't know too much about hi-power audio, but what you describe sounds a lot like a hi-power capacitor connector, maybe for some bigassed amp system that the last owner had pumpin bass yo.

Yeah that's a stinger brand breaker. They are easier to deal w/ than blown fuses in what would normally be a fuse block there.
