Question about transmission swaps

I was directed to come here from the world of NASIOC.

My friend has a 94 FWD SVX that the tranny went out in. We are pulling it right now. He can either get it rebuilt, or put another one in there. This is his DD and he is strapped for cash. I found a 96 FWD Legacy automatic transmission pretty close with a warranty and at a great price. I just need to know if we can bolt that thing in. I know you can swap WRX transmissions into SVXs, but I know nothing about Legacys, and I know even less about The FWD model.

CN: Can I put 96 Legacy FWD AT transmission into a 94 FWD SVX?

Yeah, you'll need to use the electronic SVX speed sensor in place of the Legacy manual one.

Also you should use the SVX torque converter.

Is there anywhere I can look on here for any other writeups? We've got the transmission pretty much out except for it coming off the two bottom studs. I come from the WRX world, and this is pretty similar, but I just want to make sure we've got everything off.

I think SVXfiles has a link in his signature to a fairly thorough write up??
