You still didn't answer, how many gallons do you call a full tank?? So far there have been a number of different responses that we consider "full".

Yes, it's possible your gauge is off. Does the low fuel light come on?

A genral rule of thumb for auto makers is for the car to be able to go 300 miles on a tank of gas. If the car gets crappier gas milege, they give it a bigger tank to compensate. If your getting less than 300 miles for a full tank of gas , you are either driving way aggressivly, in the city , in inclimate weather (high / low altitudes extream cold, that kinda thing) of a combination of the three
My gas gauge is broke, so I always fill up around 250 miles or so. Usually takes 11-13 gallons of gas. On average, I get between 19 - 23 miles per gallon. I drive medium aggressivly in light traffic and mild cold. Nothing really out of the ordinary

Oh yeah I did forget to say, I believe it is a 15 gallon tank, I usually put in about 14 gallons when the things is on E and the light is on...

Today I drove 260 highway miles on a Full tank of gas. I have about an 1/8 of a tank left, so I think that 300 miles is about right.

Just looking at my record book, and the car has easy 400+ mile range at freeway speeds. Longest documented at 393 mi and 16.4gallons. With an 18.5 gal tank that left me a 2.1 gallon cushion. That particular tank at just under 24mpg. Numerous other trips at 340-360 miles.

Both cars are averaging in the low 20's, Ebony: 40% city, 60% hwy - Teal: 10% city, 40% hwy, 50% mountain twisties to the ski resort.

I can't complain when compared to my '89 Landcrusier and '91 Exploder! Low to mid teens.

I was averageing about 19.5 mpg then installed the Stage 2V5 and CAI with Green filter and now up to 20.5 avg. So I notice a little bit of a change. This is also in SoCal traffic in the afternoon and nice cool drives at 5am.

A good point I think many miss. It's impossible to accurately determine fuel mileage by the gauge; you have to see how many miles the car will travel on a given amount of gas. Fill up 'til it clicks-off, set the trip odometer to zero, drive, repeat... then divide the elapsed mileage by the quantity of fuel loaded to arrive at the MPG. The SVX will return high-teens in town and high-twenties on the road with ease. If you mileage is substantially lower, you're driving very hard or something's wrong somewhere.
