I prefer the '04-'05 tail lights and I wasn't planning on doing this anytime soon, but this opportunity fell into my lap. I'll only need to pay for $15 worth of gas, as we're doing a straight up swap.

I may also be able to pick up an STI axle-back from him for a steal...

Nice Lookin! I love that color. I too just bought a WRX 04'. So thats the TR (tuner ready) model eh. What do you got planned for it> APS DR55 Turbo with the the huge APS DR 725 FMIC . O wait thats what i want Well looks good chike! I'd have to admit i like the 04-05' tailights the best too. Good luck with it!

I drove up to Washington DC late last night and swapped tail lights with an '05 STI owner. Got back home around 2am this morning before the snow started falling.

My car is now under car cover and I'll post some pics tomorrow after the snow stops falling. The rear end looks 10x better already!!!

Is this gear knob better-look or better-feel than your stock one? Sorry I can't remember how it looks now....I paid attention to the odometer more.

And here's the only pic I took of my stock shifter. It's wrapped in leather but has a light-weight cheap feel to it.

One thing at a time. Still need to finalize the purchase of a LGT shifter knob. Once that's in place, I'll be looking to add a high flow panel filter and SPT cat-back this summer.



By early Fall, I hope to have the STI/SPT pink sport springs that are designed to work with the stock shocks. It'll give the car a nice 3/4" drop and firm up the handling even more (spring rates are approx 223lbs front & 195lbs rear).



Then come Xmas time, I hope to start gathering the parts for my STI turbo swap - VF39 turbo, larger TMIC, down-pipe w/ high flow cat, Cobb AP Stage 3.

The aluminum pedals aren't high on my list, but I'll probably get around to them sometime. They are pretty cheap.
