Carnage!!!
So since we picked up a new car on Wednesday, we're gonna put my wife's 91 Legacy Turbo up for sale. Thought it would be a good idea to fix the non-working AWD, so today I drove it to work and pulled the extension housing off, and I discovered that the transfer clutch drum was completely sheared off the shaft! So I borrowed the courtesy shuttle from work (we don't offer shuttle service on Saturday anymore) and came home and snagged the entire transfer housing off the old transmission out of my SVX and swapped the entire thing over. No more burnouts across intersections now LOL, although I do have to put the old rims back on it. (It's got WRX wheels on it now, but the fronts are nearly bald). So if anyone's lookin for a 91 Legacy turbo sedan with ~140k on it let me know :-)

Re: Carnage!!!
How much? and Manual or Autotragic? I am thinking autotragic with the implications of the drum, but i am dense in this area.

Re: Carnage!!!
We'd like to get $2k for it, yeah it's a 4EAT, but it's a GOOD 4EAT (I was originally going to convert it to a manual, and put this tranny with the 3.90 rear diff into my SVX, but then the wife got rear ended and now she has trouble driving a manual for extended periods so we just left it auto)
There's nothing wrong with the tranny now though, it shifts nicely, it'd still be way faster if it was a manual, but it's pretty zippy even with the automatic. The only "bad" things with it are the sunroof leaks, the trunk leaks (I plan on repairing the trunk, just need to re-seal the tail lights), the driver's door doesn't lock from the inside (I just need to replace the handle), and the cam covers leak (I have the new gaskets, just need to put them on.) It's got: New tires New front brakes New LF wheel bearing New timing belt, cam seals, and crank seal Just did an oil change on it Trans and diff fluids, coolant, and brake fluid have all been done recently New spark plugs New drive belts WORKING A/C, converted to R134a All parts have been OEM Subaru parts (I work at a Subaru dealer) Pioneer CD player Sony XPlod front speakers Can't remember the brand but it's got different rear speakers in it too ~140,000 miles "coffee cup mod" (Except I used a chunk of exhaust tubing and a silicone coupler from Autozone) I had to get creative with the intake since the junkyard threw out most of the intake pieces when I got the motor (~140k on motor), the rubber elbows are new OEM Megan Racing 4" downpipe Right now it has a rice muffler on it, but I'm probably going to put the WRX exhaust I have for it on it since it's a BIT loud.
