Air Bag light on
Hi all, the car is close to perfect except my airbag lamp is still lit! Is there a way to disable airbags and turn off the lamp? I cannot find the SRS module, supposedly behind ctr console, does that mean in dash or close to rear seat?)
I have no check engine lamps. Any ideas? Regards C

You can simply remove the board with the LEDs from inside the gauge cluster. That's what I did when I had my JDM steering wheel.

You can check the air bag codes using the diagnostic port behind the kick plate by the drivers left foot. There's instructions here someplace but I can't find them right now.
The SRS module is inside the dash below and behind the radio. All airbag stuff is yellow. Disconnect the battery for 15-20 minutes before messing with any of it to avoid a nasty and painfull surprise. PS. Is your car the one that was listed on Used Ottawa or Kijiji a while back, January I think. Last edited by Blacky; 11-18-2009 at 05:01 PM.

Thanks for all the info guys , i checked kick panel wires and fuses last night, a bit cold outside to do much more! I will pull the radio at the weekend and take a look.
No Blacky mine was never listed but always for sale:-), did you need a spare 5 speed teal with 141Km? C
