One Line question

ok, really quick one line question: When you see tires treadwear rated, it's rated in 32nds such as 8/32s, Im assuming this is referring to a measurement in inches...ie 9/32nds of an inch. Thanks all

Tread depth is measured in 32nds not treadwear rating.

Most tire treadwear rating are a 3 digit number, 400, 420, 380. Those numbers are specific to that manufacture. They are compared to the other tires in their line. They are not compared to other tire manufactures tires or their treadwear rating. Unlike traction and temperature there is no set standard for treadwear rating between manufactures.

Just go by the metric measurements, they are a lot easier... when you want to take accurate measurements, you will have to use millimeters and less...
