Glad to hear it. I was reading about a similar issue with AMR on an Infiniti G37 forum. They all got burned.

Re: amr engineering aluminum radiator batch

I can't believe anyone would even contemplate doing business with him after the crap he pulled the first time around.

He is a lazy tosser, and, a scam artist. Stop giving him money.

Re: amr engineering aluminum radiator batch

Paypal gave amr Engineering a chance to respond to my claim but evidently there was no response from the business. Monies were transferred back to me. The funny thing is, I am patient enough to wait out a custom build process but when someone won't communicate back, we're done. amr is totally a business to avoid.

Re: amr engineering aluminum radiator batch

I was surprised to get a call from Justin at AMR Engineering today and he had a radiator ready to ship aside from the "cancelled" status. It is 5 months after my initial order and as I related, no communication from AMR after several e-mails and left voice-mails resulting in refunding the funds. So we re-did some quick paperwork and on it's way. There are some issues at AMR that Justin is trying hard to address and he's there to "prop-up" things while Andy is out-of-country...attending important family matters. A number of other parties are going to get their long awaited radiators very soon and being a retired engineer, batching these rarely desired items into an economical production run isn't a 1 or 2 month deal so I get the timeframe involved. My input was "please communicate" and folks will keep their faith (as long as it ain't BS). These aren't snap yer fingers radiators but from what I can tell, gonna be good.

Re: amr engineering aluminum radiator batch

I'm glad to hear batch two is shipping. So again the timeframe and customer service is horrible but offset by finally getting a good product. Much like you I waited and waited in the first go around, then backed out and was refunded.

Re: amr engineering aluminum radiator batch

It's a very similar scenario to the demise of Stebro Exhaust. Great product with terrible customer service and no communication.

Re: amr engineering aluminum radiator batch

I received a call last Thursday saying that my radiator shipped out and lo and behold last night when I got home it was sitting on my porch.

He says he still has 5 units of each type, with custom fan shroud and without. So if anybody else still needs one they are ready to ship today so no waiting around with little to no communication like the rest of us.

yes the radiator is made for complete stock replacement, so it will fit into the stock slot, with the stock fans and shrouds

Re: amr engineering aluminum radiator batch

We recently purchased a one owner '92 LSL... did a couple top priority items & noted others on the "To Do" list, including an epoxied radiator. Not soon after, we took a ~350 mile trip. As is common on longer trips in old cars, it tends to wring out the tired parts. The battery died on the trip, last part was running off the alternator. About a week later, a coil died. This Monday, while moving it to a family members house (much closer than home) to work on the misfire, which was the coil, the radiator let loose.

I soon discovered that radiators are pretty much non-existent, especially in a rush. I checked out AMR & found they had 1 of each in stock. Ended up ordering from them. Justin helped expedite it. It looks & works great.
Thank you Justin!
