Re: Bontrager Works 22mm rear sway bar kit

Awesome! I now need this fix as well. I don't drive my SVX frequently so took awhile for the rattle to make its appearance and it's still infrequent but I'll nip it in the bud on Monday.

He's probably busy. I messaged him a few weeks ago and he replied promptly.

Installed the QS Components Chromoly Teflon/Kevlar Rod Ends, the clicking noise is gone.
Just thought I add my approval on them.

Re: Bontrager Works 22mm rear sway bar kit

Hey fellows. Nevin here.

I apologize for not being prompt (or attentive even) to my PM box being full.

if any of you would like to PM me again, please do so, and I will respond as promptly as I can.

Also, I only have 3 bars left, (two blue, one red) and I'm still not sure if I'll make more.

Obviously dayle is making them now too for much less, but as it turns out, the price difference is basically the cost of endlinks + shipping, so I would say we're pretty much apples to apples there, plus you get beffier endlinks with mine!

Anyhow, there has been some newfound interest in the rear sways, and as people keep emailing me with payment, I suppose I will continue to sell them. Like I said, we'll see based on interest.

However, there will most likely be a change in future runs. Before, I have fronted all the cost, and have taken a gamble on how long it may take to sell them, but in the future when I make a set, I will require all the money up front, and there will be a waiting period. Batches will probably go from sets of ten at a time to sets of five, just to accomodate people without making others wait to get a huge number of folks. Plus less bars is quicker turnaround for me, so there will be less waiting anyways. I believe this is perfectly fair for such a low volume piece that is producing excellent results for all who've used it.

Anyways, that's where I stand now, and I do appreciate everyone's interest and support.

Again, I apologize for the wait for some of you. My apartment got flooded about 4 weeks ago, and I was not able to get to a computer regularly to check emails. I had my phone, but it was not syncing up regularly, so I imagine I made some of you wait for replies. I just now hooked up my internet, and this was one of the first things I checked, as per John Hoffman's suggestion. Again, my apologies.

Re: Bontrager Works 22mm rear sway bar kit

By some odd happenings, the 3 bars are already spoken and paid for, ya'll.

I have responded to each person that messaged me to let them know as well, but I just wanted to post here as well, so that future readers would see it.

I have no problem making more if the interest is there.

For those of you that I messaged with the bad news of being sold out, how many of you would be willing to front the money 50/50 like I did originally to get the ball rolling on new ones? If you'd want to pay 100% that'd be fine with me, but I'd need at least 50% down to get it moving, just for cash flow sake.

I would be willing to get another run going if I had at least 5 people paid 50%.

If this is doable for any of you, let me know!

Thank you!

nevin

Re: Bontrager Works 22mm rear sway bar kit

I'm in for 50% right now, if you've got trouble getting 5 of us then I'll do 100% if that helps to get things moving along.

I was also wondering if the noise from the end links was ever fixed? I read through a thread (it might have been this very one, I don't remember) but I never saw if there was a solution other than just greasing them regularly.

Re: Bontrager Works 22mm rear sway bar kit

Well like I said, if you want to put 100% down, that's fine with me. It's just easier to get things done faster with my suppliers if I do larger runs, as it's more in their interests for them to do.

Price will be the same, but will include the option of choosing your own color for $10 extra, otherwise they'll just be regular old bontrager blue.

Looks like Nevin will do another set. See the SVX World Network on facebook. Like to get a couple of more parties in on this, if you have any interest now is the time to tell him.

Re: Bontrager Works 22mm rear sway bar kit

When installing the QS component rod ends, does it matter which side faces the sway bar??

For example, here is one side with the black teflon(?) showing. The other side does not have that. http://www.qscomponents.com/images/graphics/38chrom.jpg
