Re: Bontrager Works 22mm rear sway bar kit

I don't see any 3/8" x 24 Chromoly Teflon/ Kevlar rod ends on their website. They only have "economy" ones listed in that size.
Did you call them directly to order them?

Re: Bontrager Works 22mm rear sway bar kit

I installed the endlinks yesterday()
and the annoying noise is now gone.
I will continue to drive The Pearlie and see if the noise comes back,
but for now She is quiet enough to drive AND enjoy!

What's the supreme court judge's final decision? Is this the solution? I love the sway bar, just don't like explaining the noise.

May very well be.

I ordered two sets. Mine have yet to be installed and I sent OT a set to put on his pearlie about 3 weeks ago.

He installed them and said so far the noise/rattle has gone and not returned. I will let him give a further analysis here.

I installed mine today and they worked beautifully. The noise is totally gone. What a relief! I had forgotten how nice the engine sounds.

Re: Bontrager Works 22mm rear sway bar kit

I am thinking about ordering these, but just want to make sure I get the right ones.

So if I call them up, is this what exactly I ask for?:
"A complete set of 3/8 x 3/8 x 24 CrowMolly Teflon/ Kevlar rod ends with 3/8 Cone Spacers & Jam Nuts."

Nevin said something about ordering a shorter endlinks. Where do I find those at?
I have no idea what any of these measurements are measuring.

This is what you want: Rod ends - 3/8" - 24 Chromoly/Kevlar , load rating 9544 lbs, $9.18 each X 4 = $36.72. You need 2 LH and 2 RH male threads.

I just used the jam nuts and cone spacers that came with the Nevin bar.

Two ends per side (LH and RH threads) These should completely quiet down the swaybar rattle at about $37.00 a set of 4.

.
I replaced the original links that came with the swaybar with these new endkinks while a OT's house for the Autocross this past weekend.

The noise is now totally and permanently GONE. I heard it all the way up to his house a different volumes and frequency, depending on road conditions. Following the same route home, it was totally silent all the way and I haven't been able to make the noise reappear.

When I removed one of the heim links from the upper part of the swaybar on the passenger side, the center ball insert was very loose inside the housing and spun quite freely. I could shake it lightly and it rattled like a tambourine.

The new inserts are much tighter without any metal-to-metal contact

Ditto, noise completely gone. GS Components were great people to deal with and the free shipping was a pleasant bonus.

Oh yea I need to call those guys. Is there a part number that I can ask for instead of giving them all the info again?

Re: Bontrager Works 22mm rear sway bar kit

No part number on the invoice, just 2 Chromoly 3/8 x 3/8-24 Male RH and 2 Chromoly 3/8 x 3/8-24 Male LH. I went ahead and got the Jam Nuts in case I messed up the originals. Two at 20 cents and 2 at 70 cents didn't break the bank. They said they were special order but managed to have them in 2 days.
Again, nice to experience great service and fast shipping.
