valves bend

guys, quick question: our EG33 bend valves if turned without timing belt? I changed the water pump and now the car does not start. I'm trying to start the engine before closing the timing belt cover. I checked the timing sequence and everything is OK. It tried to start the first time and stoped (not knocking). after that, no more ignition! (of course I turned the engine manually before first try with the inginition key)

Re: valves bend

never mind guys, I found the problem: I was trying to sync the timing bet with the wrong position for the crank. It's OK now. Thanks.
