removing the 4eat
Hello
As you may have read I have found another 4EAT (euro) because the old one only shifts in reverse and 1st I wish to change the gearbox by myself, because the garage will charge me about € 1100.00 for doing the job (2 days labour) If the gearbox is out, do I have to change/replace seals anywhere? Main question however, does anyone have a description or how-to for removing the 4EAT?? Specially the sequence thanks Rinus |

Re: removing the 4eat
€1100.00 is an absurd price to replace the gearbox. Subarus are about as easy as it gets when it comes to replacing the transmission. The mechanic should definitely be able to do it in one day, and that's assuming he hasn't done one before.
