Front end rumble
i think i might have found the source of my front end rumble when i hit any type of bump in the road...the front what looks to be sway bar that goes from the long skinny rod by the brakes ( sorry for my total lack of knowlege of the terms) and goes through to the other side on the exact same thing...well where the bar goes through in the middle the rubber is non-existant on the passenger side and pretty rough on the drivers side...How do i go about replacing this b/c its getting really really bad sounds horrible...any help is greatly appreciated...As far as axles go remand's are best from Raxles???is that what the consensus is???again thanks for any help

It should be easy to replace these two bushings. I would tackle it one at a time. The manual recommends you mark the position of the bushing and the bar with a paint mark before dis-assembly, though this probably relates to total dismantling, and you should not need to do that.
One point to note is this: when you take off the clamp holding the rubber bushing, it will not be symmetrical as you might suspect. It has a short side and a long side, and when re-fitting, the short side goes to the front. Hope this helps, Joe

You guys call it a sway bar, over here they are called anti-roll bars.
In the Subaru manual, it is known as the front stabiliser. The rubbers are down as front stabilizer bushes You can get them from Subaruparts.com. See the enclosed link, it is part #10, cost is only $6 or so. http://www.subaruparts.com/diag/?mod...category=200-A Best of luck Joe PS this parts list is for a 92 AWD. The bushes may not change from model year to year, but if yours is different year or is FWD, then check with them before you order.

Forgot! The little rods are called stabilizer links, but you can probably see that on the parts site.

The sway bar links are very easy to change!
I've changed both sides on mine.
