Many of you already know that The 2 major problems that I have with my SVXi are:

The '97 needs a rear oxygen sensor. The 96's & 97's have 3 sensors. My dealer qouted me $289, installed. The exhaust sytem must be dropped and the sensor cost $140 on the dealer's computer.

My '92 needs a right rear wheel bearing. Tell me something that I don't already know. The dealer qouted me $266, intalled and takes 4.5 hrs.


I'm going to do the brg. job first. I've been using the 92 every day to & from work. At 60- 70 mph, it sounds like there is a freight train on my rear bumper.

Also, I read about using mid-grade (89 octane) gasoline in the SVX. I filled my 92 up with it on Sunday. So far the car has gone ~100 miles and I used half a tank. This is all expressway driving. milage seems to be about 65-70% of what I get on premium. I'll switch back to 93 Octane on the next fill up, which will probably be tomorrow night. So much for the grand experiment.
