SVX lets me down.
Well, I knew it was going to happen. this dream car of mine FINALLY let me down. its 12 below, and she won't start.
Which is strange, because yesterday I started her cold in 32 below!! she didn't want to, but she did. I didn't have to try more then once either. The battery has lots of juice. she cranks juuuust fine. but no ignition. every 5 seconds or so, the engine kicks like its gonna start, but nadda. I'm thinking fuel line frozen or something. Your thoughts? I dropped gas into the carb on an old honda civic once that had this happen... started her up wonderfully....where would I be droppin gas into this beast anyways? |

That sounds all too familiar. I'll put money on a bad coolant sensor. Here's another thread about it:
http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...threadid=15512 Follow the link in Earthworm's post, and see if you get an Error Code 21, which would be the sensor. If you get a different code, you can check the other codes in How-To locker. The local Subaru dealer charged me about $70-$75 to replace the sensor.

Honestly, I have no idea, I'm a sucky mechanic. But do a search on O2 sensor, and I'm sure you'll come up with some ideas.

nadda
I've looked at past posts, and haven't found anything that says the o2 sensor can prevent ignition. I dumped dry gas into the tank, and it still won't start. Begining to get frustrated and worried. any other ides anyone?
