Battery drain
Anybody have any idea what would cuase my battery to die in my garage queen. I bought a new one, and it was great for about a month. Now all of a sudden i charge it, and its good for a couple days, then i let it sit for a week or two and it is dead again. What could be cuaseing a drain like that. PS its a new battery and if i leave it disconnected it does not die. BRand new alternator as well.

Could it be the infamous driver's side visor light wires touching?
Ron.

I had the same problem with mine during the winter. I just try to stick the charger on it every couple of weeks.

A sticky ABS relay will do it too. I went through two *free* Walmart batteries before I realized what was killing them. If you hear a quiet buzz under the hood after you turn off the engine, that's probably what's killing your battery.

Make sure nothing is switched on. Disconnect the negative lead and connect a multimeter with amps scale selected in series to ground/earth so as to read the leakage current. You will probably have to select the milliamp range but start with amps to be safe and not damage your meter. Remove and replace fuses one by one and note when the leakage stops. You will then know the individual circuit involved which will reduce your area of investigation.
If you do not have a meter try using a small, i.e. low wattage, 12 volt bulb/lamp in series in place of the meter as a current sensng device. This should be effective if your battery is discharging as rapidly as you say it is.
