Haven't sold a thing yet

Engine is out but I haven't broke it down yet. Probably will get started this weekend.

Looking crank sensor one (closer to front of engine, next to alternator).

$30 shipped?

Re: GI: Parting out built motor

Is that one of the sensors in the oil pump?

Re: GI: Parting out built motor

It's the forward most sensor next to the alternator. Right above crank pulley.
Outside of the engine, not inside.

Comes out in like 30 seconds. One 10mm bolt holding it on.

Re: GI: Parting out built motor

The one in the center directly above the crank? That's definitely in the oil pump. I know for sure because both that one and the one next to it are thoroughly stuck in the last oil pump and I can't get them out.

Also if it is that part, they are $203.60 on subaruparts.

Re: GI: Parting out built motor

The sensor should be reading the crank shaft revolutions. I don't know about the oil pump.
I replaced my sensor couple years ago just pull the 10mm bolt and wiggle/tap the sensor it pulls up.

Re: GI: Parting out built motor

Yes, it's $200 something brand new.

It also happens to be available on one of the online used parts websites for $35. Another member listed it for me in another thread. I just wanted to avoid confusion and buy from a forum member instead.

And it's the one on the left side of your picture. With the straight up and down plug.

I'm confused by your post..are these seized in, or was this an older engine you had that were seized in?

Re: GI: Parting out built motor

If you can get a new one for 35 bucks I would totally do that. I can't really speak for the condition of any of mine. One set is stuck in an oil pump and likely damaged from me trying to bang it out, the ones in my new oil pump I rumaged out of walmart bag full of oddx and ends that came with my spare short block, and the one on my new junkyard motor has been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse since 1994.

Re: GI: Parting out built motor

You misread. I can get a used one, not new, from an online breaker for $35. Would rather buy from forum member.

And I'm confused as to how many you have at this point?

This seems to be getting overly complicated lol. Meaning no offense, do you have one you can sell or not? Lol
