I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

I can tell I'm going to regret returning to the other thread where you are wearing your evil face and Lwin is busy constructing "surprises."

Outta curiosity, what other cars fall into the STX class? And what did you run against?

WRX was the only other car in my class, modified at that. I'm waiting on final results to see how I did against the rest of the pack. But from seat of the pants results I'd say i finished about top 10-15% of the field overall raw times. I think only 1 or 2 other WRXs beat me, both running in a more modified class and with race tires.

If you have an extra set of wheels you could race with I hear that the Falken Axenis is the way to go. CHEAP tire, with insane grip. Check em out man. Go to www.falkentire.com

newsvx runs in G stock using Kumho racing tires that can stick to the ceiling. He claims the tires cut 2-3 seconds off stock tire times.
Another car in G stock would be unmodified 3 series BMWs.
WRXes should be in a "faster" class.

Ron.

Azenis are nice, my old roomate has used the racing ones for a year at autocross and tracks them in his ae86(1985 corolla gts 20v)
And my friend just go them for his prelude sh.(street version)
It really does cut several seconds off the time.

Yeah I'm probably gonna get some Yokohama R compounds for the track next year. Azenis don't come in our size.

I had to run STX cause of the SS Lines, next year I can run in G which would be nice.
