SVX and Fastlane Easy Pass do not work

Hello everyone,

I have a Fastlane transponder and it simply will not work with the SVX but works on every other car I have. Anyone else encounter anything like this?

The Fastlane is an automatic tool transponder.

Yeah, the titanium oxide coating on the windshield blocks the signal. I either hold mine out the side window or the sunroof.

We went through every toll on the way to and from reading. The car was registered though and they charged it against the plates. We did not get any lights at all when going through the tolls. We thought it was because the car is so low.

Re: SVX and Fastlane Easy Pass do not work

I hold mine out the sunroof for the occasional times I have it on the turnpike. A few years ago when I was on the turnpike a lot more, I put it on under the back window on the rear deck between the speakers. It worked fine there in PA, but back then it was all low speed exits.

I also bought a bumper mounted one but could not bring myself to put it on. Way too ugly.

I'd love to know if I could paint the thing, even if it's just the plastic body and not the "windows" on it. Who was thinking when that was designed?

Re: SVX and Fastlane Easy Pass do not work

There was a thread on this a few years ago. If I remember correctly it will work if you stick it to the rear window. I also recall that somebody put one inside the waterfall grill.

I just pop the sunroof and hold it up. The side window thing here requires a full stop.
