MAF placement question

ok, so now that the car is running and back on the ground, i had to make something new for an intake(it didnt have one). im a coupler and a handfull of clamps short. i got a free cold air intake from a single cam ka out of a 240sx. made it work, routed the filter into the fender well, and now, the only place to mounth the maf is directly to the part of the old assembly that mounts to the throttle bodies. is it bad to get a reading from that close to the TB's?

sorry, dont mind the caps, and terrible grammar.

Re: MAF placement question

Raul, perhaps you can get a picture of exactly what you're left with currently? If you have the stock intake snorkel followed by the MAF, and then the "CAI", then it will be no problem. However from your post, it seems like you are saying that it may be somehow "closer" to the throttle bodies then that. It's just slightly confusing and I think a pic if you can get one will help out many people trying to assist.
