Unhappy Transmission Question

well, i went to go to the car show last night and i come to find that my transmission developed a funny grinding noise. i started to drive it and once the rpms get to 2k it starts slipping and wont shift into second or any other gear for that matter. so i took it home, parked it and left it alone. now i got up this morning to try seeing what the hell happened. i got in the car and started it up and now the damn thing has no gears!!!!!!!!! please tell me WTF happened. what do i do from hear........i really love my scoob and dont want to junk it... so please give me some ideas

i wonder if the pump went in your tranny. its an automatic right? or the gears might's sheared up.

99.9999999% chance the thrust bearing on your rear support went out. If you drop your pan you will find it is full of needle bearing rollers. Unfortunately that transmission is scrap now and isn't even worth using as a core.

Sorry to have to give you bad news.

You might consider getting one of my partial rebuilds. I can source a new core for you and you just won't get your core charge back and will need to pay shipping on top but shipping won't be much since you are in Florida.

so where can i find a new automatic transmission for cheap, or how much is a manual swap and what do i need to do it ? well if you can help with the core i can probably get the rest.
