Cool 92 SVX Struts

Hi,

I'm thinking about replacing my struts for my 92 SVX. When I look for parts in 1stsubaruparts.com it have me 2 options. One "before 9-92" the other "after 9-92". The prices on these are different. The one before 9-92 is more expancive. My cars production date is 11-91. Will be ok to purchase the struts that are after 9-92?

It would be better route to go and buy koni inserts. Many here have bought OEM struts only to have the seals fail. Yes there is a 1 year warranty but it is covered from original purchase date. There is someone here who had them replaced 3 times under warranty but the 4th time occurred just weeks after that 1 year time frame and he was SOL and ended up going with the Koni inserts in the end. Save yourself the time and money and just go with the inserts.

just my $.02 but there are many who will agree

Re: 92 SVX Struts

The issue seems to be that they have been sitting on a shelf for 17 -18 years and the seals have dried out.

Red face Re: 92 SVX Struts

Let say I do decide to go with the KONI. Is there any one in Boise, Idaho who might be able to do the modifications for me or is it pritty easy to do it my self?
