Re: New Shoes for the Claret

These RX-8 wheels look amazing on your claret! I think the gold you chose compliments your claret very nicely, and in my opinion I have not seen a better looking wheel for the SVX! I plan on a set for myself in the near future. Now to figure out which color to powercoat them for my green SVX! The stock silver may look good with green, but I may experiment with a slightly darker color?

Re: New Shoes for the Claret

Will these RX-8 wheels bolt up to the SVX with no other needed adapter pieces? "Hubcentric mumbojumbo confuses me" Im ready to bid on a set of these wheels but dont want to find out there is work involved to get them to bolt up. Also any issues with rubbing when using the motorsport drop springs? Thanks much!

Re: New Shoes for the Claret

I am running hubcentric rings from ebay that Mike had given me just to make mounting and dismounting easier.

I know he is not having any clearance issues, even on the lowering springs.

So you are saying that they will bolt up with no issues, but you chose to use some "hubcentric ring" so that it is easier to take the wheels on and off?
If I decide to use the rings myself how do I go about finding ones which will work? Do you have a picture which would help me understand them better? Thanks much!

Re: New Shoes for the Claret

So, after quickly growing unsatisfied with the color the RX-8 wheels ended up, I picked up these from "Seion" yesterday in Vermont.

Prodrive PFF-7:

I have decided to redo the RX8 wheels in silver for my Ebony.

I anticipate getting involved in my Claret's steering work on Friday along with mounting these, so I should have photos this weekend.

Did you know:
1. you left your PS pulley at Carlisle?
2. I have it in my garage.

Do you want it back? I believe I will be down there on Saturday.

I always wanted to go to WBM, but I think I have something planned that weekend already. Additionally, getting a vendor spot there would be hard to justify, as we don't exactly fit in the crowd of NASIOC vendors pushing bolt ons. I doubt that there would be any interest in our products from that crowd. I would most likely go just for fun.

You mean the one with the melted powdercoating? I was going to throw it away but I'll keep it if you have it.
