Chris, I thought he had a 4.11 5spd. That's about where my car runs on the highway.

Re: My SVx is not as fast as I thought....

Yes that car had the stage 2 in it as far as I can remember. There may be an issue with the MAF pigtail after all the years of sitting w/o proper attention. There might also be interference because of the SAFC. try rewiring the pigtail and go from there. it has a Z32 MAF unless it had been changed since I owned the car.

If you would like any particulars about the car or a mods list, I will write one up as best of my memory. I sold the car 3-4years ago i think

Re: My SVx is not as fast as I thought....

Man this really sucks I have to tell you this Tom. When I bought tbe car from Josh's dad, I was told that the car was in an accident previously. The power steering went out and the car's passenger side slede on a guard rail. She wasn't too banged up but the scars still remains. Josh had the problem repair and got a job in DC and couldn't bring the car with him. So he sold it. The car had many other issuse but I don't want to piss you off Tom. Any information you can give me would really be appropriated.

Thanks,
Jcimos

Re: My SVx is not as fast as I thought....

Well please explain what you need. As for the engine issue, like I said try fixing the MAF pigtail first. Go through and make sure that Josh didn't mess with any of the wiring. I had soldered all the joints and shrink wrapped them. If the SAFC is still there I would imagine some of my work has been undone or altered

Okay, dyno spread sheet has been updated to reflect the Stage 2 and Walbro fuel pump.

Re: My SVx is not as fast as I thought....

Thanks Tom for the reply. So you were really able to run 14s with just those mods? Major props. Okay I know this would sound like a dumb question but how many cc is the stock injectors in a svx.

At the time it was the most modified SVX out there. Now there have been leaps and bounds beyond that and I have learned a lot more on how to make things happen yourself rather than being misguided by others by a lack of knowledge. The car consistant ran at least a 14.8 and held the n/a record for a long time until ben and dave beat it with the racer. In all honesty, I used to be ashamed of going to the strip with my silver car running the same times if not worse. I always had a good time there with that 5mt... 4wd burnouts off the line w/ a 4500rpm clutch drop shot that thing out of the hole... Who said 5mt's were weak?? I only burned through the syncros
