I think we live pretty close so the next time you put the drive pulley on, call and I will come over and tighten the bolt for you (I am almost 80 years old) LOL

Re: need help fast

Were you tightening it down to 100lb ft? There is no way it should just come loose like that..

Cruisen,
How about a picture so that we are sure of whats going on?
The key should pull out with just plyers.

You have mentioned both camshaft and crankshaft, I'm just trying to help.

Good grief, man.
I had a similar experience. I just got it all at the dealer. The gear should just slide right out provided it's not baked on. If the crankshaft won't hold the key properly due to damage, unlikely considering the key is soft aluminum, you are SOL.

I believe the timing belt has marks. Your timing cogs should have marks. to line them up, or you should have marked them. If not, SOL again. You'll have to do it manually.

On the passenger side of the engine point the cam sprocket arrow strait up, and align the hash mark on the cam sprocket to the one on the plastic timing belt cover back pannel.(11:00)
Put the crankshaft keyway at the 3:00 position, lining up the hash mark with the one at the bottom of the crank sensor casting.(about 12:03)
Put the drivers side camshaft arrow pointing strait up, while aligning the hash mark (1:00) to the one on the timing belt cover back plate.
Install the belt, release the tentioner and check it.
Tom
