Engine stuttering at low rpm's

I recently purchased a 92 SVX with a 5 speed manual swap. When I drive the car and begin to start in 1st gear and accelerate from 1000 rpm's up to around 3000 rpm's the engine feels to stutter, such that it's like it's not getting the proper fuel ratio, but once it gets around 3k or higher it runs smoother. This tends to do it in 1st and 2nd gear mainly, and sometimes in 3rd gear depending upon where I drive and how I shift it.

I am not sure why it would be doing this. Any help and/or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Engine stuttering at low rpm's

I guess that could be a possibility, I haven't had the chance to look everything over.

Maybe start with checking for error codes? Maybe change the plugs.

Re: Engine stuttering at low rpm's

That's the first thing I'm going to do. I am hoping that solves the problem, will find out next weekend or the following weekend when I can get the time to replace them.

No, it's only when I have the transmission engaged and am accelerating.

Re: Engine stuttering at low rpm's

Hmm I haven't thought about that, how difficult is that to check and replace as needed?

Re: Engine stuttering at low rpm's

During acceleration in at least 1st and 2nd from 1000 to 3000 rpms. When I shift to third gear sometimes it does it when I'm below 3000 rpms.

If that's the case, the problem will progress to misfiring at idle and while in park. At that point it should be more easlily diagnosed by disconnecting ignitor coils one at a time and starting the engine. If the shaking gets worse, that's probably not the one. If the shaking gets better, it's probably the one on the opposite side of the engine in the same position. The front ignitor coils are easliy disconnected. The back ones not so easy. Start with the front ones.
