Re: What did you do this weekend?

Fiesta!!!!!

I also tried to take a cruise in the svx....
Was a little hard to start her up but turned over with some cranking... I smell some gas thinking it was possibly from the extra cranks on an off chance

I lift the hood to pull the charger off and gas is spraying everywhere
Found the clamps were just barely holding the hoses onto the filter!

Given my extreme paranoia on gas, I can not begin to explain how unlikely it is that I missed this! The week before, I do remember finding the hood open and the tank almost empty is someone pumping gas out of my car under the hood? this would be the first i've heard of it, but entirly possible.

I have taken measures to eliminate the ability to do such a thing, I also plan on switching to clamps that don't need to be tightened just in case they worked their way free.

Even with airing it out, i didn't feel comfortable driving it

Re: What did you do this weekend?

I could almost see someone under the hood stealing gas, disconnecting the pressure side would allow an almost silent way to get the gas. Plus you wouldnt get a mouthful of gas trying to get it out of the tank. How many GPM or LPM's does ouf stoch fuel pump push? It wouldnt take to long to get a few gallons out either.
Well on to the weekend, unfortunity I work Thursday- Sunday so i'm about halfway through my weekend. I took the spoiler off the 94 and washed the crud out from underneath it. I was thinking about moving it back by drilling out the 3rd holes in the trunk, but i'd rather use my parts cars decklid so i can put the stock on back on it i ever do get rid of it. If you relocate your spoiler I didnt think you could put it back to the stock location due to the new holes in the decklid.?? Anyone knoe the answer? Thanks in advance.

Well, making my hood theft-proof turns out was not a good idea. I have some repair to do because... yes I was right I don't want to say exactly how they were doing it right here on the net... it probably only required a cost of about $20 to get started, assuming they stole the gas cans too. The s also left a hose on a nearby truck, leaking out all over the road.

Sorry I don't know about the spoiler, but I would guess so too!

EVO School Phase I, where I chopped some notable time from my course laps, and I received compliments from SOLO Nationals champs on how the SVX moved!

Re: What did you do this weekend?

if you drill a 3rd set of holes, the spoiler is moved TOO far back and doesnt sit flush on the deck lid. if you drill a new set of 4 holes, and dont like the position, the spoiler will cover them in the factory location assuming you dont drill them way far back

Re: What did you do this weekend?

Drank beer. It seems I have a new hobby: alcoholism... I've yet to determine where it's going, but my new-found drinking partner keeps up with me, and it's something we both enjoy. I have a rule though, no drinking on Wednesday's. Not sure why, but there seems to be something going on on Wednesdays, so i make up for it drinking Thursdays through Tuesday's.

...so what's holding the hood up in the first picture? You don't recognize the yardstick mod when you see it?

Re: What did you do this weekend?

The first picture was a bit older, but I think my hand was holding it up. BTW, its not a yardstick, its a broomstick.
