Brake noise

I just replaced my front caliper yesterday and now I am getting a banging noise when I hit the brakes. It sounds like 2 pieces of metel hitting each other for about a half second then goes away. Also the brakes feel fine and work, just don't know what this noise is.

Something is loose, and moving with the disc, till it hits the end. Check the caliper bolts, and the caliper slide pins.

Harvey.

Re: Brake noise

i had a similar problem when i did mine

found out that a bolt was loose and the caliper was hitting the rim when i applied the breaks.....so take the tires off and wiggle the calipers

best of luck
