Anyone notice Ebay lately?

Most of the items are being sold by Dans Carparts....I thought that guy was history.
It's like everything I would like to consider purchasing has his name all over it.
How irritating!!

Yes, and when he goes there will be almost nothing let on the site for sale. He has forced many to leave by his scams. I hardly every even check for stuff any more.

I just bought a JDM center for the back of my SVX, your post made me double check who the seller was, luckily it was not dans carparts.
I normally do not buy parts on ebay for any of my cars, since I bought my one cars on there and got screwed over I have kinda stayed away from ebay.

Especially important if they (sellers) use PayPal.
When you pay ... the money is usually gone out of their account before it can be recovered in a dispute!
Which can sometimes take a long time to resolve.
Just not worth it!

Best to buy from someone you know.

The only way I sell on ebay is with paypal....but I haven't sold anything in over a year due to relocating and moving, etc......
I think there are some good guys left out there...just have to be careful who it is though and not fall into the hands of a seller who has 10 alias' and cheats people.
By the way...how is this guy finding so many parts / cars / both???

it's always hard on ebay..since people get tricked into giving their account passwords and stuff like that..i have been scammed by people that got sick of being good people and started to scam. they got caught by the police a few years after i got scammed- i got an email from some police department in the USA about being scammed and prosecuting them.

The best is when Ebay contacts you asking you for your SS number and credit card info which they are not allowed to do via email.

Thats becasue those are fake emails.

I've been using ebay for almost 4 years, the only problem I had it like 4 years ago and I was unexperienced. Now I feel confident and I still use it almost once a week. I already bought a lot of parts for my svx trough ebay... so Who is this guy "Dans Carparts" you are talking about??

just go to my ebay and get your messages. I have turned in a lot of scams but never open them. Ebay doesn't email us.

I also saw on ebay yesterday a new svx seller that had bad feedback on more that half his stuff! probably the same newjersey dude I will try to find the name again

i found it http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/nadbka/

the few small things that aren't bad feedback are probably set up by him to help his cause. Easy for a crook to do!!!

Read the Buyer Beware thread.

When he first started using that name I always thought it said dans carpets.

I was like "he sells carpets now?"

PayPal insurance works and they pay if you don't get the product.
My bro bought a $1,000.00 keyboard and the guy wouldn't ship or even email back. he reported it and got his money right back from payPal~
If you want to bid and they don't have insurance through payPal, I suggest you email them to get it and put it on the item. Enough to pay for your loss would be nice. I have just about decided I want new parts anyway so I can get another 150,000 miles out of the things I go to the trouble to put on my SVX!
Here is dan-carpets and he has insurance on an six engine but the starting bid is $495 and the insurance is only $200

The lingo is the same every thing is carefully packed and garage kept! Must have a 400,000 square foot garage!
