ECUTune Dyno or 1/4 Mile
Has anyone tested before and after 1/4 mile or dyno numbers of an ECUTune chip installed? I have read a good deal about how it feels but is there any data that shows what some have felt?
I was taking a look at the dyno graph they provided and have a concern or two about it. Thanks! It's not that I can install one on my SVX anyways but this is the kind of stuff I am into. So I ask!

Excellent question. I haven't really seen any numbers presented either other than from ECUTUNE. I can say I felt a little difference, But I never got to make runs to back it up as I had 4.44's installed between the time I first ran and the time I got the chip.

the most noticable difference between the stock ECU and the Stage 1 has 2 parts...
1. The ability to run regular gas and save a couple bucks at the pump 2. It doesn't really increase power output in a peak form but smooths the power curve to make it more consistant throughout the rpm band... This therefor allows the car to make decent power at most Rpms instead of select ranges like the stock ECU. Some people will claims some seat of the pants difference but this is all speculation. You should merely notice that the car feels strong at almost all rpms and not just in the middle. Some people will complain that it made no difference at all... These people may just not notice the difference in torque/hp at lower and upper rpms or their vehicle has an issue of which is restricting the engine in the 1st place. Tom |
