Well my 1994 is Pearlie due to her color and the 95 is J-D (the tractor). We have another car a 1995 STS called the Boss as it is black/black. We have Cricket as this car we had bought brand new in 1998 and it’s a black ZX2. We have a 1998 full sized conversion van from the Cobra Company which is the limited addition. We call her Fancy Genni as it’s a GMC. My all time favorite vehicle that we had parted with in 2001 was a 1994 S10 four door blazer that I called Little Bear as it was all white with mirrored privacy glass and it we would take it 4X4 up the mountains in AZ. Oh must I mention my husband has a toy which is a jeep wrangler named Fire Ball. This is his favorite toy as the tires are way too big on it along with the lift. This thing bounces you around, but it sure is fun as long as I am not driving.

Okay….my post tells my story. The parts car which is an svx goes by the name Pity as I fell in love with this car and its price knowing I may never get it going. Since Pity, I have acquired two others which are both driving condition. .

My girlfriend calls it "Stars". You see, I play this here arcade game that has SVX and my car's moniker is "The Chosen Stars" Apparently she really likes that name.
AllAn m4de a FuNn4y!LOL
Given the whole alcyone palades subaru thing, stars is a very appropriate nickname. The car being black helps too

I love these threads when they appear on various web boards I frequent. My usual response is "you're joking right, you named your car ?? What's that all about ??" but to answer the original question and see if you can spot a pattern : Red mini, Silver mini, MG V8, SVX, and Fiat or Stilo............

Guess I'm just not that sentimental, or not imaginative to give them all names...........

Phil.

Missed this thread when it first came out.

I never named a car before, always thought my (ex) husband was kinda strange for having names for his cars. (Actually, I think he named the cars for how HE felt when he was driving them -- "Sexy" for the 280 ZX, "Macho" for the Wagoneer).

Anyway, when I got my silver SVX, she was dubbed the "Silver Bullet", although nobody actually calls her that -- we just call them "Dave's silver", "Di's Silver", "Nick's", "the Claret" or "the supercharged SVX", "the old/new/new new Pearlie", etc.

But when we got the '93 from n00b on demand (Tom), she acted like she didn't want to leave his garage. (It was the longest, bloodiest water pump change in history ). Somebody dubbed the car "Christine", after the Stephen King book/movie, and it stuck. Now that we have 2 '93's (temporarily), it helps to have a name for one to keep them straight.

Or you don't have enough of the SAME kind of car to HAVE to name them.

My SVX's name is 'The Red Pimp'. Named it after getting some 19's installed on it. Was going to tint the windows red (I know....don't do it).

Didn't get it from any characters or movie. I just went with the name. If you HAVE to have a pic with it...well-->

It be da supa-fly fo shizzle yo.

Hmmm...I think mine will be known as "Rusty" for now. This is because ever panel along the belt line is rusted, fenders, doors, rear quarters. They will all need to be replaced or have significant work done on them.
