I saw it on discover channel, cars of the future or something like that.

Green display like ours, only saabs is 3d!! its sweet the way the doors fold up then the rest of the top comes up. the "doors" lock/slide down when the top is down..
how much of SAAB does GM own?

just thought I would share it with you guys.

The mere thought of the cost of the glass and lift mechanism makes me cry...

The mere cost of the car makes me cry. That thing will probably never go into production.

That dash looks pretty cool, i think that after awhile i'd have to hit the dim button though . Its like starring at a TV screen six inches away.

I watched the first 15 minutes or so of that; it got old fast. "Concept" cars have changed little over the last 25 years, and most have shared the common attribute of being ridiculously impractical and/or impossible to produce. What a pointless exercise! Let's see something that's stylish, safe, and economical to purchase and operate, using existing or emerging technology rather than gee-whiz Buck Rogers concepts. Now there's a challenge.

No, no...you see the glass lifts the car up and out of the way when you are upside down for easy exit.

I've seen it before. Cool design, but obviously never to be more than a concept.

Just think, what about when it's raining? You have to lift the roof to get in, and now your seat's wet.

I really like the dash though.

Its not really a practicle car, but im still drawn to the unique design the way im drawn to our windows

Its kinda hard to flip cars these days. With all of the new technology like Dynamic stability control, and Volvos new S 80 that precharges the brakes up to 30% when a colosion is eminant, adaptive cruise control blind spot litigation system etc. they are getting safer.

But there is always someone who can get past all that technology and end up with a floormat full of dirt to the face.
