But you're forgetting that the body roll isn't always a bad thing but too tight of a suspension always is a bad thing. Must find the happy medium or you'll kill the car in the process!

I figured this would be as good a place as any...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...DME:L:RTQ:US:1 Auction for 225/50/16 race tires... decent tires that aren't sold anymore. He wants 100$ for them. (If i didn't have 5 other bills to pay for various car things I'd buy these)

Problem is you're dealing with the tuner class. Not the racer classes. Everything to them is all about bigger is better when in reality it'll make the car much harder to drive. Your best bang for the buck is with a set of used r compounds which will get you about .5 to a full second on most courses. If you learn to drive a car that is set up w/o them when you do go to them you're tire costs will be 2x as much as you'll overdrive the tires. Then again, you can't brag about tires as much as a stiffer bar increases your manhood.

You seem to do your research... My dad is looking for 1 or both stabilizer bars... This is a wagon 02 WRX... street driven, he can drive, will probably be autocrossing and wants to go as stiff as he can without reducing grip in the end.

I dunno if i'd agree with that neccesarily... Many times when driving a stock susp. car, you tear the heck out of the tires because of the geometry causing toe/camber upon compression. many people rip up the outside of the tires on their cars. I still find the term "overdriving the tires" a bit... out there.

-Bill p.s. and yes, it is possible to "over drive" R comp tires, especially if you don't have a sprayer to cool them down between runs ;-) p.p.s and this is what happens if you go with too much bar on the rear (yes, I moved the end links back to the 'stock' location after this event...)

I'm just trying to get as much seat time as possible in my first true autoX season - and hopefully I'll be competitive this Sept when the Subaru Challenge rolls around.

And 99% of them do it because it compensates for their manhood. I hear the opposite from most of the drivers I talk to and know but then again these guys have been around for years and don't need bananas if you know what I mean.
