My coffee is so tasty now that I no longer put 3 teaspoons of sugar and a cup of cream in it. I have been searching for great coffee for a long time now and a trip to a local coffee shop was the last straw. I was fed up with the crap I have been drinking at home. Just thought I'd share my excitment.

i like a good cup of coffee, but i'm also lazy and i drink alot of it, so i don't feel like spending a bunch of money on it.

i'll have a good cup every once in a while out somewhere, but i ain't roasting and grinding beans everyday in a $1000 machine.

Hi Michael, Heres what I do when I make a pot. I buy my coffee from www.don-francisco.com You can buy dark roast but most are medium roast. I use one of the new Krups coffee grinders. So I grind right before brewing. I wash the carafe and filter holder in the dishwasher everytime its empty. I also have an extra carafe in case my timing is bad. And I use distilled water. The link you had about coffee talked about Peets coffee. I got a free sample a couple of years ago and it was waaay over roasted. IMO if you can see the oils covering the bean and the bean looks black or very dark brown don't walk but run away. On a normal day I just have one or two cups a day, but its the best I can make. How does one enjoy espresso? I found it almost painful to drink! It may give you wings but that is a hell of a price to pay.

actually i haven't come across a "strong" cup of expresso yet...they've all been just...."a good cup of coffee" to me.
nor would i put that kind of money into just buying a coffee

shoot, I drink espresso straight up, I love the stuff. I only brew Starbucks though, even though I recently had some "Toffee Nut" flavored stuff that was pretty damn good. I have a Melitta Espresso Machine that I wash at least twice a day, it makes all the difference in the world in taste. Starbucks FTW!

Being English, I prefer to drink tea. But not the tea they sell in America, that stuff is nasty. Actually most of the tea they sell in England is pretty bad too!

The best tea and coffee I've had comes from the highlands of Kenya. Unfortunately by the time it reaches England it's a little bit stale and has often been cut down with cheaper stuff. Whenever I go to Kenya, I pick up a few tins of "Kenya Highlands Coffee" and "Ketepa Tea" in the local supermarket.

I imagine it's the same in all the other tea and coffee growing regions of the world.

I have been recommended by an AiKido master than London Tea was the best ever, but using it alone is not that beneficial healthwise. It should be mixed with other herbs...

I could get by with a cheap cup of Earl Grey. Yummy!

I have one of Starbucks Espresso machines and use the French Roast for all of my coffee. I like a good Latte or Mocha to get my day started off.
