5/15 --- afternoon session @ FedEx (you'd basically have to register ASAP, as you're not an SCCA/WDCR member)

6/12 --- morning session @ FedEx (too early!! )

7/16 -- Capitol Driving club's autoX at Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick, MD (might actually be the best one for you, as you can just shoot straight across on 70)

8/7 -- morning session @ FedEx

9/4 -- afternoon session @ FedEx (this might be the best opportunity at FedEx, as I'll definitely have the car fully sorted out (I'd better!! )

Which Winchester dates look best, given this schedule of SCCA events?

Where are these FedEx events?

How far are you guys from Aberdeen (along Rte 95 about 20 miles N of Balto Beltway)? I believe we plan on running down there again on May 1st...

Bill,
The following are the dates in Winchester, Millbrook High School for the Mercedes Club.

5/22
6/12 (one of the June dates is Mercedes ONLY)
6/26
7/10
8/28
9/25
10/16
11/6

The July 16 at Harry Grove Stadium looks pretty good for me. I'll try to make that one. Do I need to pre-register?

Harry

Dave,
FedEx Field is off of 495. From Ripken Stadium, you'd have to come down 95 to 495 and take it south around to Central Avenue (214). It's where the Redskins play their home games.

Harry,
I'm going to see if I can make the 6/26 date work (Harper's Ferry isn't too far from Winchester, is it?). You won't be able to pre-register for the 7/16 date until we get closer to the 16th. Check out http://members.cox.net/capitaldrivingclub/index.html

The 26th also looks like a possiblity for me as well Harry. That is if we aren't already scheduled that day up here for the points and all. Besides, its my birthday the next day so it should be somewhat easy for me to convince wifey of my need for a birthday weekend.

Bill and Ben,
Sounds good. BTW, I will send ya'll the rules, etc that were just published - I must admit, I haven't read them it, but I suspect they are the same as last year, but with more emphasis on the tech inspection.

Yep, I'm just waiting for them to be reclassed at the end of this season. There was a strong rumor at the end of last season that they were going to be moved to C or D stock....

EventPhotoNow was at the SCCA event, so now you can see pics of all the cars that ran!

-Bill (tempted to spend $15 on one pic of his car....but then that's a couple of gallons of gas for the SVX )
