Old and New(different in so many ways)

Well, I have the vette and its great, but in a different way than the SVX. Its almost like the difference between football and Rugby; both are great to look at and fast moving, but one has less padding and is definitely mean.
But anyway here is a picture I spliced together of old and new. In the background is my gov. truck, its black too, as a matter of fact so is my girlfriends civic. Its like a funeral parlor on my street!!

Thanks to you all; I'll check in from time to time and I'll try to get to the next gathering with the American beauty.

And if anyone is still interested, I still have service manuals, Japan hood emblem for sale. Email me for more info. Jmcassin@yahoo.com

I remember seeing that picture of JMCassin's SVX ages and ages ago....I did not realise that you owned it!

I always thought the black tinted lights made it look like some evil demonic wraith....it looked brilliant!!

Your C5 is also very very nice....some are imported privately here to Oz and converted to RHD..on road costs about $115,000 - $130,000 depending on auto/man or convertible.

Regards

Jamsvx

thanks

Thanks, I always liked the blackout rear lights too, although they were a pain to maintain. I am contemplating buying the covers for the vette. A black smooth car with tinted windows and black tail lights always appealed to me. It really has that "scary, wraith" look.
I think it did all come from that 80's movie with charlie sheen and the funky plymouth "interceptor" they used in the movie which also was, coincidentally called the wraith. I was young in the 80's and impressionable. Anyway, thanks

I have no idea?? Its probably some weird subconcious thing. I had considered silver also, but the vett happened to be at the right place at the right time at the right price(and black). the good thing is, it looks great when clean, but its so hard to keep it that way.
