going up, up, up

Paid 2.26 a gallon for 91 octane . . . not happy - not happy at all. I drive that car about 1000 miles a week. . . still looking for those who want to hijack the oil tanker with me. I'll even split the proceeds evenly

91 Octane is considered Premium where you are? Do you have two grades there or three? If three, what are their octane ratings?

91 is the octane rating for premium in colorado. we have three grades: 85 = regular, 87 = mid-grade, & 91 = premium. i believe the lower octane grades used here have something to do with altitude.

So no one can beat $40 fill up yeat, ha?

Well, for Bay Area, average prices are:
87 - $2.21, 89 - $2.31, 91 - $2.41

I just traveled down south, Bakersfield area. On I-5, Stockdale Hw exit, there are two gas stations:
87 - $2.69, 89 - $2.79, 91 - $2.89

can anyone beat that? hehe, i guess not ha. Well, if you go 10 miles in to the city, the price will drop about 30 cents.

Not in the SVX - but I last paid over $50 to fill up my SVT Lightning 1 month ago before I traded it in... It got 13mpg, used premium, and had a 25 gallon gas tank!

Here in Cali, 87 = regular, 89 = mid-grade, and 91 = premium.

I just beat the $40 fill in the Lake Tahoe area on Sunday. I put in about 15.5 gallons, and paid $2.69 for 91.

Ouch, well, you I guess you are on top of the list now! Although you are in CA. Well, the record will be broken very soon, as soon as Bay Area will get up to 2.69, he he.
