hood shox

the hydrolics for my hood are shoot. and i met this guy last night that said he could hook me up, so i need to know the demensions of the hydrolics that our hoods use. and i searched for this and couldnt find it. so please help me out.

Try taking one of the hydrolics off and measuting them open and then closed. Also measure the diameter of the part.

I do not think that info is anywere handy.

Many have tried, but nobody that I know of has been able to use anything but the OE strut. Good luck and if you find something that will work, please post the information. Many would be interested.

I found one that worked, but I don't think it would lift the OEM hood. They work great on my carbon fiber hood.

I don't believe anyone quite understands what you want. You're looking to save some money by buying generic hood support struts, right? Have you already thrown-away the old, original equipment struts? If not, why not just measure them, as someone suggested earlier?

I have the same problem. AutoZone said i could bring one of mine in and they'd find me an alternative that works, i just never have the money.
