Sounds good. All someone would have to do is post the informaiton in one of the forums (WTB or FS ) but make the subject "Stolen". That way we can see what car is stolen and any identifing marks or other information.

I can run plates and get info easy, doing what I do, but here is a scary way anyone can get your home address from a photo of your car. They go into thier local P.D. and report a hit and run with your plate info as the offender. They are then issued all of your registration info. It's a way some low lifes get our home address. It's getting scary.

hehe PA_SVX. you just gave away one of the best ways i use to hunt people down . that is why i carry spare dealer plates when i go to commit something bad . boy do i have some stories to tell that include the following: cop + me + removing license plate and replacing it with dealer tag +1am on Friday night.

curses....i just went in to the pd and had them search out ensteele's stash. all that came up on the police computer was "ensteele barn..aka. Batcave....location unknown"....

FOILED AGAIN!!!!

It would be a real shame if someone stole my SVX, but it would be difficult to locate and move. First, someone would have to know where JUMPING BRANCH, WEST VIRGINIA (25969) is located.
They would never guess that it is at 37.6 degrees North Latitude, and 81 degrees West Longitude, so don't anyone tell them! They would then have to find BEAGLE CLUB ROAD and then, and only then, would they find it parked all by itself in a long lonely driveway. They would have to pop the hood and REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY, and then jack up the back AND REPLACE A WHEEL BEARING. Then they would have to get it out of town without anyone seeing them.

I'd say they will get away with it....
until they finish all the repairs and drop the car down off the jack!

i once caught some kid trying to break in my svx and steal it...I told him good luck as the ECU fried up on me. Then i went into the shop and got my Spyder TL paintball gun and chased his ass down the street . I shot the bastard like 4 times at full velocity...never saw him again

I don't mean to sound like an ass but having a location required probably doesn't help the problem.

As you can see, you are not forced to write where you are... You could write "Somewhere in a drift" or something like that... See how big mine is.... I don't care if anyone knows where I am... I'm on a Marine Corps base, so good luck to whoever wants to try and steal my beauty... Also Everyone intown knows my car, so if you live in Beaufort and want to steal my car you better drive away, far far away... Then My car is known in Charlotte NC and Greensboro NC, Atlanta GA and Agusta GA... So ya see you are not "required" to put where you live....

I underswtand that but seeing as how everyone that wan't sto join the forum has to put soemthing in the location area I guarantee that someone will put truthfully where they live. If someone see's a car on here they like and they have their location accurate all they have to do is scope out the scene. Believe what you want, I'm just pointing out what I saw.

That's cool, but don't worry so much... Not to many people will approach the svx because they think it has some hi-tech alarm (just by judging by the looks)... Make sure you have full coverage insurance and then you should be good... No worries man, just relax... If ya want put XXXXXX's in the location space...

No worries man, just relax...Even on a Marine Corps Base you're not safe. Didn't your rims get stolen? I have a starter kill, I'm not taking any chances! I think the thefts took place in canada. Another thing we could do is cover up your vin #s on the dash you could go to a dealership and get a key made with a vin.

I doubt anyone will go out of their way to find you if you only tell them the city you live in.

<- scope my locale. nobody wants to find that.
