Careful, there. Just because they agree with you doesn't make them more intelligent. I'm not going to get into a Mac vs PC argument (again), but I don't know where you get off saying Mac users are smarter. That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

What is the best way to reduce a movie for the net and can I get it back to 16:9 as it is a little squashed?
That's a cool video, Andy. SVX meet participants have a tendency to drive too fast, and record it, but we never drive on the wrong side of the road - you guys are nuts!

It seems that the version you posted is in the wrong aspect - everything's squashed horizontally. Did you originally record it in a wider format?

It was recorded in 16:9 and burns like that perfectly to DVD. As a novice in this video game, it has taken me for ever to reduce it enough for the net, but I haven't worked our how to keep the aspect ratio correct.

I'm a lefty too!

Funny how it goes from my SVX video --> another video --> videography questions --> swords --> lefties.

Sorry man. Truth hurts. Macs have 5% of the market share. Generally its because people like them, and like computers. The other 95%... well.. yeah. Think of cavaliers and neons and civics. Generally, the owners are dumber than the average SVX owner.

Same thing.

What kind of moon-logic are you using? You can tell Mac users are smarter because Macs have only a 5% market share? Puh-lease. I wouldn't dare go as far as to say that PCs have a wider market share only because they're a better product, but saying that they're widely used because people are stupid is ludicrous. It's even more ignorant than saying 'so many people can't be wrong.'

You claim to base your arguments on truth and reason, but your judgement on this issue is being severely clouded by personal preference. There's no reason to argue with somebody who says something so ridiculous.

Or, put another way: I use PCs and only PCs. Therefore I'm an imbecile and you shouldn't waste your time on me.

Yeah, that would be my fault. I picked on Andy for his country's driving customs.

Sorry.

I was thinking "absurd" but, ridiculous works.

I'm certainly willing to match wits with any Mac user. In fact, I'll only use half of mine, so we'll be on equal terms.

I thing that I have it now (after many hours of trial & error) click on the link again to see a version which is easier on the eyes

I'm really not trying to be a pain in the ass. Honest.

This one is the opposite of the first - it's stretched horizontally. I think it might just be some of the clips. Any of the shots showing an SVX (to my eyes, known proportions) look stretched, but I can't speak for any showing the scenery (unknown proportions). The people look okay, but I think that's because it's only stretched a little.

Sorry if I'm causing you more headache than it's worth. I am just as picky about aspect ratios for digital images and my TV.

I didn't mean to spark a fire with the mac/intelligence statement. The observation I have made is this: I've never met a die-hard mac user that was a dumbass. Furthermore, they are a bit "off" and have above average intelligence. Being a bit whacky might not be good, but look what we're driving.

<begin fire>For those of you in disbelief...you're smart too...and you just want a mac deep down. :P</begin fire>
