re: hehe civic punk

hehe civic punk. yeah they do think they are something else. i see lots of them. although in atlanta there are quite a few punks with civics that look bad on the outside and have a really big engine's in them. i raced one hatch back a while back and he kept up with me nose to nose. no way that was a normal civic engine.

but about the power light. i don't think it came on when i raced the beemer. i definitely floored it, but don't remember it coming on. it comes on sometimes when i floor it while in motion, but i can't remember it coming on going from a dead stop.

must test that out. oh another funny thing happened that same night, same time. my friend in a camero was following me and the beemer before we raced at a light. next to him was a civic that had no clue that me and the beemer was about to go at it. they were trying to goad my friend to race and my friend ignored them because he was going to watch us go at it. civic was reving his engine up and i thought it was the beemer that was doing it lol. once that light hit green and we gunned it, the owner of that civic must have wet himself cause we left him in the dust.

I wouldn't say that. A civic with some bolt ons should be able to keep up.

Maybe... an Si. That, or with bolt on, everything, and gutted. Even mild bolt-on Si's have had the pleasure of seeing nothing but SVX rear end from me.

re: dunno

dunno, a friend of mine has a civic vtec dhoc manual and he can't keep up. i definitely don't think it's stock. maybe it has a bolt on neon engine in it. you know the kind with cheap plastic and like a billion hp that weighs like 5 pounds. then again i may have a slow svx. you know the really slow geo metro ones.

I've got the SVX section in my locker. I did not scan the rest of the article. I've got a bunch of other articles from back-in-the-day in there as well.

Well yeah, you have an awd subaru that puts about 170 hp to the wheels if I recall correctly, and wieghs about 3600lbs, against the M3 that from what ive seen puts about 200-210 to the rear wheels, and weighs a couple hundred pounds less, I really wonder who would win.

Which makes me wonder how he could never have lost to a BMW. even a 325 has maybe 160bhp and weighs 3200#...must be going after z3s.
