FT. Camber Adj...Service Manual Wrong??

Is this a mistake in the Service manual..?..The upper front strut to lower hub bolt, the one with the eccentric on it,... seems like you need to turn the bolt head to adjust the camber (clockwise(lt. wheel) to increase negative, CCW to add + camber, opposite for rt. wheel). The Manual (see below) says hold the bolt head and turn the self locking nut..???..doesn't seem like that will change anything, just loosen the bolt.

a. When adjustment bolt needs to be adjusted, hold
its head with a wrench and turn self-locking nut.

i believe that is just to loosen the nut so it can by adjusted. if you hold the nut and turn the bolt to loosen it will be very difficult if not impossible, not to mention spinning your camber adjustment at the same time. once loose you turn your wrench till your camber is in spec the tighten by holding the bolt and turning the nut.

Re: FT. Camber Adj...Service Manual Wrong??

Agree....just seemed like an odd way to describe what to do "if you need adjustment". I marked the camber bolt where it hit the old strut scribe mark and installed new strut in the same position. Went from -20' to 0' so still in spec. Haven't done the rt. strut yet..it is starting off at 0' so hopefully I can get both ft. camber reading the same.

Keep in mind that a lot of what is in those manuals originated in Japanese, so the translation may not be the most clear.
