5 horn beeps
So just out of the blue my horn beeps really fast for what I think is 5 times. This occurs during either lock/unlock. The alarm still seems to function properly and locks/unlocks the doors. According to my owners manual "use of non-authorized transmitter". Uh... its the original one (lost the 2nd one). So what do I need to do?

Nevermind I figured it out.
Ign on engine running press security button turn ign off security light will flash quickly open door/close door hit the button on the remote and its back to normal.

Ignition does not need to on be or engine running to switch between security and regular mode. The button is just a little tricky sometimes. I find a slower push where I hold it at full in for a split second, rather than just a quick push, seems to work.

Yea my button acts funny too. I think it's because of the rarity of use.

Question for you, when it was doing that did the lights flash? or no flash.
My son hit the security button today I didnt know it and tonight when i hit the remote I got that same thing, locking doors many quick beeps but no flashing lights, I looked on here to see if there was anything, which im glad there was went out looked sure enough no flashing security light, hit the button flashing normal and hit the remote and chirp with flashing parking lights. I think the other mode is just remote door locks no alarm.
