Front driver seat

I knelled on my driver seat and I tore the stiching.
1) did anyone successfully repair one
2) Are the seat covers a good solution?
3) anyone got a good gray driver seat ( 1992 Pearl white ) for sale cheap.( I imaging the shipping will cost a ton of $$$

1) I got an upholstery guy to stitch my leather seat. You need to go to someone who has the strong sewing machine it requires to push through and stitch leather.

2) I don't know really. Dayle's replacement covers look nice, but the cost is a big outlay unless you are seriously doing a major job on your car.

3) If you are going this route buy the seat off somebody and ask them to strip the seat cover off and post it to you. You don't need the whole seat unless you got trouble with the electrics or something. See the following picture:



The part on the left is the leather cover for the squab. That's probably all you need posted. There's a how-to on here to show you how to remove and replace the leather cover.
