Help me !!!

Hello!

Well, a mechanic came at home and helped me to change the water pump, the timing belt, the belt tensioner and the gaskets of the camshaft and he forgot this part.... ( you can see it on the photo).

What do you think? Which part is it? Can I do it?

I don't know but I think I can't drive whitout this part?

Thanks.

Pierre-Olivier

Re: Help me !!!

That is the cam sensor, and yes you do need that to run the car. There should be 2 bolts with a 10mm head, about 25-30 cm(?) long to hold it into place.

If you stand by the drivers side front wheel and look at the front of the head towards where the back of the cam wheel (what the timing belt wrapped around) you should see the round hole that the sensor pokes through. The wiring is just about the right length, you can use that to determine about what area the sensor goes to.

Re: Help me !!!

On this picture from "Cozycat's" turbo build;

You can see the sensor directly below the oil fill cap, it's the grey wire, then covered with black tape going to the white connector.
