I have had this conversation many times also- trying to come up with a portable hail cover system. I have conceptualized pieces of foam or high density neoprene with magnet strips sewn inside.
I park my SVX in the garage and figure our newer cars can better withstand hail damage

Put the Tribeca outside, hail damage might improve the looks of it slightly.

One of those collapible fabric carports should help, if it's normal hail. However the act of God stuff posted earlier, not so much!

I'd get one of those carport thingies, and still do the old duvet, or a matress pad over the glass, and roof to protect the non-replaceable bits.

Oh, and did I mention the power of prayer & clean living? *grins*
