Shift kit- power light-16 times?

I did a long search on this subject, but have not found a simple explanation on the fix. Is there a "how to" on fixing this Power light blinking?

I had no codes before I installed the shift kit. The car drives fine, but I don't want to see the blinking light on the dash during start ups.

Install a new resistor like I did. 1 watt 390 or 430 ohms

It does that if you unplug the resistor behind the battery. I would clear the codes and it should stop blinking. If not, search it and there has been some discussion on what to do.

I didn't spend every last penny on the car yet. but seriously, no more upgrades for me. I had a bad experience with the stage 1 chip, and now with the shift kit. This is the last amount of nonsense money I will spend on the car.

Dan, you purchased the shift kit...you might as well get good use out of it..I'm sure it works...how are your shifts? Smooth, jerky?
The blinking light can be fixed following Trevor's expertise and it does work as I have done so with removing the standard Small car resistor and soldering the lower ohmed resistor.

Anyone,
Has Small Car made any changes to the kit to reflect the lower resistance??

It's been determined that the smallcar shift kit may not be assembled correctly. There is another thread explaining what had to be done to get it to work properly.
