I traded my SVX...

...but only for about two hours. I was given a loaner car while my FL axle was being replaced.

The car was a Plymouth Acclaim. The color, go figure, was white. Give me my Justy before you put me in one of those again. I was actually embarrassed to drive it to work and back.

For a few minutes I considered calling Triple Eh to tow it back to the shop.

But I have my SVX back now. $169.88 to have the axle replaced. I can't wait to take the SVX to WI this weekend. The last time I took a road trip in the car was AutoFest last year. Woohoo!

Did you say Wisconsin this weekend?

Let me know if you want to hook up for a bite to eat or anything on your way through.

Doug, I hope I can, but I don't know. We'll be arriving late Friday evening and we'll be heading out again Sunday afternoon. I'll be viiting my dad, my wife will be in Madison (probably with the SVX...dunno if it'll be with or without me) on Saturday...

...Saturday evening, maybe...tough to say. Originally I was planning on leaving Monday morning, but she can't miss work, so that throws that idea out...

You still have my cell number, right? I have yours.

Well, right, it's a Chrysler platform so you also see the Dodge Spirit and Chrysler...New Yorker, I think.

Cripes, don't remind me that I drove that horrid thing yesterday...ugh. It took miles to get up to 70mph. My Justy is way, WAY quicker.

Don't you just love those loaner cars? I got a Toyota Corrola. It doesn't get any better than that! Just kidding. By the way, that's a hell of a deal for an axel. It cost me over $500

Hey, I dig the Corolla. Maybe because it's a Toyota and my wife had one that served her very well.

And, sure, it's a good deal right now. We'll have to see if it's still a good deal a year from now.

I'm sure the Corolla's a very reliable car, I just didn't think it was that comfortable. With the way those seats slant down, I felt like I was sliding off! And the dash was like a bubble comming out from under the windshield. On a different note, I'm sure that being used to an SVX biased my opinion. And the car seemed to have some good low end torque.

Dave.
