Not since 9/11, its gotten much harder to do.
And the govt is really cracking down on rhd cars that come
over, seriously I know of several people who have tried
it with sylvias, rhd crx.s and others only to get them confiscated, and fined, and possible prison time. Its a Federal Law you
are talking about.

One possible way, but slim, but easy for me is to bring
one in thru Mexico. Have the cars legal address from there
and drive it over here.
But Im about an hour or less from the Mexico border, and a few hours from some major cities down there.

Technically, you can import a RHD SVX. There is a local business owner who owns his own speed shop/import tuning shop who has two Skylines (one R-32 and one R-33) that he uses strictly for "Racing." He drives around everywhere and has yet to face any problems with the Boise PD. I say give it a try and give them the "Racing" reason. It never hurts.

Can you get them in via the "show and display" loophole? I know that simplifies things and you can only drive them 2500 miles a year...No, I don't know how the spedo cable keeps coming undone officer

but theres more to it then that
1 being you have to put up a rather large bond
while the cars here, like more then 50% of the cars
value..

And its suppose to be trailer to all the shows and
events etc, if they catch you driving it on the street
they can confiscate the vehidle, and you lose your bond $.

Again, there are other loopholes you can try to use to
get away with driving it while its here, but youre still
chancing the consequences.

Its better to take the time, do the conversion from a
clipped front end and be done with it.
