For you purists (you know who you are!)

I put some photos in my locker showing my stock wheels which I had cleaned up, powdercoated, and shod with new Dunlop Sport A2 to save my custom wheels from the ravages of winter. I like the tires so far but they handle much differently than the 17" Kumhos. They are very quiet and seem to stick pretty good.

How much did it cost you to get the wheels sandblasted and painted? Mine are in pretty bad shape and I'd like to get mine done..

Very nice "wawa." Makes us ol' fart purists proud. It looks like you had yours done in the lighter color done on the '94's. If so, and you need to paint your center caps, I have a color you can get at your local Autozone, Advance Auto or other chain store. It is Duplicolor "Import Color" #5412 for Datsun. If you doubt my judgement as to whether or not it is near exact match, ask SVXcess -- he's an artist and had a good look at them at Canaan Valley (Yes, I like the color of the 94 wheels better on my 92 than the original color, so, I guess I'm not a "die hard" purist, huh?)

I posted a thread in Mod Mania titled Refurbished wheels. Cover all the details for the powdercoating (a different procedure than painting)

Thanks for the compliments Randy. I actually wanted them to be closer to the original, darker '92 shade but the color chip was not a good match to the actual finished color. The color I chose ended up being very close to the Datsun shade you mentioned which is what I used to repaint the center caps.
Well, the 17's are safely tucked away for the winter and the new, ready for anything powdercoated wheels with new Dunlops are ready to go.
BTW, the purist thing was actually targeted at Nick, but I forgot that he's out of town for the weekend. It was not a shot at you, I mean, I haven't even met you yet. I'll take my shots after that
